Description

The Hispanic Chamber of Lake County and The Lake County Chamber of Commerce presents Immigration to Lake County: How Immigrants Add Value to our Local Economy and Community; featuring Guest Speaker: Megan McKenna Mejia -  Executive Director of Mano a Mano Family Resource Center of Chicago and Board Member of Lake County Chamber of Commerce.

For more than 20 decades, the number of foreign born individuals immigrating to Lake County both from the City of Chicago and directly from other countries has increased significantly and as such has undoubtedly changed the fabric of our local communities and economy. Conversations about the impact and future of immigration policy are more common than ever, but sometimes it's hard to cut through the noise. Join the HCLC and LCCC on this important and data- driven conversation to understand the value that immigrants add to Lake County.

This presentation is sponsored by State Bank of  the Lakes, a Wintrust Bank.
